meme post again
Request a song! from [info]trefenwyd

The only rules - you cannot request music by band name or genre. You have to describe, in terms of color, mood, texture, taste, or any other creative way you can think of, what you're looking for in a song, and I'll give you a song in return.

1. Leave me a comment saying something random, like the lyrics from your current favorite song, or your favorite kind of sandwich. Something random. Whatever you like.
2. I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can get to know you better.
3. Update your journal with the answers to the questions.
4. Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions.

i do promise to have a real entry about school soon, fucking LJ's HTML won't stop screwing up.

let me know if you want to do any of these!

1. If you could get House to say one thing to one other character, what would it be? )

and in other news. i have found wizardrock, a bit late actually. it saddens me that it's mostly on myspace as i tend to avoid myspace like the plague. but ah well, it's a sacrifice i must make. harry and the potters seems to be one of the most popular bands, but i don't like their sound much. however, the remus lupins have a great sound, and i'm terribly tempted to buy one of their albums... also, eljay html sucks. a lot.

Deathly Hallows meme (from [info]sparrowlove) and OotP
okay, so i promise a proper review of deathly hallows soon. but until i have a chance to get through DH again and remember it, here's a summary of some things:

i apologize for not posting lately, i've been waiting until i could do a proper review of DH, but i keep putting it off, lol. but i plan on rereading it this weekend so hopefully if all goes well that will happen soon.

doctor who is like a virus in the way it spreads, lol. devi's finally started watching it and now she's seen it all. i've really got to watch all the episodes, i'm dying to anyway, i love that show. and i love david tennant. i was watching goblet of fire the other day and i nearly forgot he was in it, i had to rewatch the whole first voldemort scene when i had started paying attention and saw him.

well ta for now, i will be back with a much fuller DH review.

compliments of shannon:
it all started with a very odd LiveJournal ad (and they have many). it said "John Lennon & Jesus: find out about the new book that tells the inside story of John and Jesus!" i told shannon about the ridiculous ad and she came up with this:
"And the rocky road they walked together..."
"Deception" *whoosh*
"Betrayal" *whoosh*
"Forgiveness" *whoosh*
"Jerusalennon"
"Coming this fall."

in other news, i just finished Prisoner of Azkaban, my favourite of the series. i <3 sirius and lupin, they are easily some of the best characters in those books, with dumbledore and snape coming in after them. (i feel a death warrant coming on...) one of my favourite paragraphs is now transcribed at the side of my journal, i've always loved it. makes me laugh every time. god i miss sirius...

allow me to rant about harry potter for a bit....
i don't know why i'm watching this movie, someone should come in here and turn it off because it doesn't look like i'm going to any time soon. it must be the masochist in me that keeps making me sit through HP3 over and over, i hate it so, and yet this is the fourth time i've watched it. it's so horrible... i hate david thewlis as lupin, he's just waaay to close to harry for comfort. and i just saw the bogart scene, when he told neville to picture snape in his grandmother's clothes it just sounded so... dirty. and then they have harry and lupin on a random bridge in the middle of nowhere, alone. it's just creepy. ah snape, he is a breath of fresh air, i never would have thought from the book that the part where snape is teaching in lupin's place would be a good thing, but in the movie it's a welcome change, i luff alan rickman. snape is teh smex. lol. emma thompson is another one that i love, she's great as trelawney, but then again she's always great. i'm just lucky that gary oldman has grown on me (well, when it comes to 3, when it comes to 5 it's bad timing), so sirius isn't *completely* and totally bad anymore, lol. he's still to old though ><, lupin was described as young, so therefore so is sirius. and in the movie, niether of them are. and now lupin and harry are walking through the woods alone, what the hell. also, one other complaint about the bogart, that was obviously a moon, it's supposed to be an orb that only hermione realizes is the moon, not "omg clouds, it's a moon!" also drives me insane that they never explain mooney, wormtail, padfoot, and prongs, it would have taken all of two minutes. and lastly, i love gred and forge.

i can't wait for the 5th movie or the 7th book, both are going to be interesting. it's kind of sad that the books are ending though, they've been around more than half my life. it feels like some kind of definite end to my childhood, what with senior year starting in september and everything *sigh*. and part of me wishes she'd continue with books about the mauraders or something, but the other part of me worries that she'd ruin our image of them, not to mention ruining snape by making him snivellus.

...yeah, lupin is alone with harry way too much in this movie.

ETA: embraced like brothers my ass.

EETA: quarreling like an old married couple. snape wins at life for that line.

music meme from [info]trefenwyd
The Instructions
1. List seven songs you are into right now, no matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good...but they must be songs you're really enjoying now.
2. Post these instructions in your LiveJournal along with your seven songs.
3. Tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

tagged peoples:
1. [info]panda_chibi
2. [info]simple__man
3. [info]neral_idazmi
4. [info]cintyfran
5. xxxdarkxstarxxx
6. [info]sparrowlove
7. [info]goodnitesaigon

1. I Am the Walrus - the Beatles (i love this song, it sticks in my head so much, and now i finally have it on cd)

2. What You're Doing - the Beatles (i listened to this about 5 times thursday because it was in my head so much that i had to keep going back to it)

3. I'm Happy Just to Dance With You - the Beatles (george is so adoreable)

4. Only Mama Knows - Paul McCartney (i love the feel of this song, and even though it sounds very odd to compare these two... it reminds me of evanescence)

5. Vintage Clothes - Paul McCartney (it's kind of an identity song for me, so i love it, and it says "who cares if we look like a girl or boy" which is amazing)

6. Working Class Hero - John Lennon (also kind of an identity thing, i don't give a flying fuck if "lennon wasn't working class", nothing has resonated so well with me before and made me actually feel proud to come from a poorer backround)

7. God - John Lennon (i never expected a song like this to be so gorgeous. and i'm going to be using it to help me figure out my AP art concentration.)

haha as you can tell there isn't a whole lot of variety in what i listen to...

can anyone tell me if "And I Love Her" from A Hard Day's Night has been in any other movies? i know the lyrics like the back of my hand and i have no idea why... it just feels like it's been in a movie.

just a note.
i now officially ship paul/ringo... among others, but that's the first one i've actually seen evidence of. and boy was it fun.

also, i bought beatles for sale, walls and bridges (john), and memory almost full (paul) today, so expect rantings about those in the not-very-distant-at-all future.

that's all for now.
